If its natural beauty you’re looking for, 40% of Carlsbad’s land has been reserved for open space, which has resulted in miles and miles of walking trails along the rolling hills, and its three lagoons. City parks are also central to Carlsbad’s quality of life. Carlsbad has 31 parks with a range of amenities located throughout the city, so visitors are sure to find something for everyone!
In Carlsbad, golf isn’t just a game, it’s an experience. Beautifully designed, world-class courses offer unmatched amenities. The finest being the course at Omni La Costa, Southern California’s only Gold Medal Golf Resort, are amongst the most storied in California, boasting a rich tournament history.
With such a diverse range of homes in the community, my favorite area has to be the village. It was the first part of Carlsbad to be settled and the homes range from cute mid-century cottages to extravagant mansions overlooking the ocean. There are very few coastal homes in all of San Diego County that have direct beach access. It is also home to Hosp Grove Park, a grove of trees relatively untouched by development and now designated by the city for recreational use, other protected spaces include Buena Vista and Agua Hedionda Lagoons.
Carlsbad has a very progressive business district, which is headquarters to many medical technology and manufacturing firms. Let’s not forget the famous Legoland Resort. With a top tier shopping available, many come to explore the Carlsbad Premium Outlets or The Forum, which should satisfy all of your lifestyle needs. Carlsbad even has a commercial airport flying to select destinations throughout the SouthWest.
Carlsbad is also known as a premier growing region for poinsettias and other popular flowers, from March through May the fields comes alive!
Carlsbad is one of the largest cities in San Diego Country, with nearly 110k, so whether you’re looking for that coastal lifestyle, or a planned community inland, Carlsbad has something for everyone.
