Technology has revolutionized the real estate market, however, consumers still rely on the agent to successfully take them through the home buying process as most people still want to save time and most importantly negotiate the best deal. Technology though has really empowered our buyers and sellers to get real time market data, which I feel has made them a little bit more realistic when it comes to their expectation of home prices. Technology has also made us agents way more efficient, and we find that the client satisfaction has increased dramatically. Let’s face it. Our clients want us to leverage technology when it comes to getting their home sold.
Sotheby’s International Realty has been at the forefront when it comes to technology and in many ways has been a pioneer for our industry. Leading in virtual tours for homes where clients really get a virtual reality experience when they’re looking at homes that they possibly want to buy. Virtual staging, it’s so amazing that our clients get to visualize what that home is going to look like with all of the furniture that they want in that home. And of course my favorite, video.
Sotheby’s International Realty was one of the first to showcase our videos right on the homepage for our properties, really giving the clients the true emotion and the ability to see what the lifestyle is that comes with this home. I have to say one of my best takeaways from a gne was the video brochure that we use in all of our listing and buyer consultations, and of course, to sell our houses. I have to thank Real Logics as they debuted that and we truly, truly are thankful for that huge takeaway.
But the bottom line is that the technology that Sotheby’s International Realty provides for us as agents has really allowed us to stay ahead of our competition. But most importantly, it allows us to continually wow our clients. I really feel that agents provide way more value than a tech platform ever could. I mean, this is truly, I believe, and will always be a relationship business.
