On September 18th, we hosted the second La Jolla 101 event, bringing together a diverse range of local groups, from the La Jolla Playhouse to the Garden Club. Held at our Prospect Street office and led by Team Leader Amber Anderson, the event created a welcoming space for community members to connect with organizations shaping La Jolla. The goal of La Jolla 101 is simple yet impactful: fostering relationships and encouraging collaboration.
Each organization showcased its unique contributions, offering insights on everything from arts and culture to environmental conservation and community service. With topics ranging from the La Jolla Christmas Parade to the Walter Munk Foundation’s conservation efforts, there was something for everyone to engage with.
Speakers included representatives from a range of influential groups, such as:
– Enhance La Jolla
– La Jolla Music Society
– Friends of Coast Walk Trail
– Association for the City of La Jolla
– La Jolla Playhouse
– BirdStock Music Festival
– La Jolla Historical Society
– Walter Munk Foundation for the Oceans
– Roseacre Restaurant
– La Jolla Garden Club
– La Jolla Christmas Parade and Holiday Festival
– La Jolla Art & Wine Festival
– Kevin Faulconer
Amber’s vision for La Jolla 101 is to strengthen community connections and unity. Following the success of the inaugural event in March, she aims to bring people together and encourage involvement in ways that resonate with them. La Jolla 101 fosters pride and connection, offering opportunities for everyone to contribute to the local culture.
